Check the integrated base, your rules and the full footprint before adding terrain.

Start with the rules
Find the required unit frontage, base depth and model count in your chosen rules. A 6mm or 10mm label alone does not set those dimensions.
Measure the supplied base
The resin listings include an integrated base printed as part of the miniature. The published X and Y values can include projecting weapons, so they are not a separate base-diameter specification.
Dry-fit the whole group
Arrange models on a paper template of your intended unit base. Check weapon clearance, spacing and whether the formation fits terrain openings.
Keep the feet and silhouette clear
Use a restrained layer of terrain texture around the integral base. Avoid covering the feet or hiding the lower silhouette, especially on the smaller figures.
Match the whole force
Repeat ground color and rim treatment across infantry and vehicles. Confirm any additional base or movement-tray dimensions with your rules before buying them.
